Sergeant-at-Arms
In addition to the permanent Sergeant-at-Arms posiiton on the Club Committee, a specific Sergeant-at-Arms is chosen to manages the physical aspects of any club meeting (this does not have to be the same person).

Prior to the meeting
  • Arrive 30 minutes before meetings and set up the room. (For example: chairs, banner, lectern, nametags)
  • Act as master host in welcoming members and guests at entrance
  • Ensure all attendees have added their details to the sign-in sheet (especially email address!)
During the meeting
  • Help with the orderly conduct of the meetings - for example, collecting ballots and counting votes
  • Lead the Guest Introductions segment of the agenda.  This is an opportunity for guests to stand up and briefly tell us who they are and what their motivation for attending is.
After the meeting
  • Restore the room to its original condition, ensuring all club property has been accounted for and stored
  • Ensure completed sign-in sheet has been returned to permanent Sergeant-at-Arms or other club officer
