As well as performing speeches, every St Paul's Speakers club meeting requires a number of roles to be fulfilled in order to deliver the preset agenda. In addition to the Competent Communicator manual, Toastmasters offers the
Competent Leadership (CL) manual as part of the new joiner pack for members to improve their skills in this area. Many of the projects revolve around meeting roles and challenge the member to draw specific lessons from carrying out each role.
Unlike the
Competent Communicator manual, each CL project is made up of multiple strands with each objective needing to be completed before the project can be signed off.
