St Paul's Speakers uses the
easy-Speak club management system to co-ordinate club meetings, track member progress as well as communicate with anyone related to the club.
Using the "
Request a Speech" facility, members can register interest in acquiring a speech slot, notifying the
VP Education of the speech project being delivered and the time by which it will be ready.
This "speech pipeline" in turn is fed into the upcoming meeting agendas with priority given to those speakers who haven't spoken for the longest time, unless negotiated otherwise with the VP Education.
Once booked into a speech slot, it is the responsibility of the speaker to ensure that they:
- understand the speech project objectives being tackled
- engage with their evaluator beforehand to tailor their feedback
- ensure that the speech slot is honoured
The club operates a reasonable "no-show" policy - if a speaker or role holder fails to attend without prior notice, this will affect future speech slot or role allocation availability for that individual
